What's new for CIC members?

June was a busy month for the CIC (Cultural Intelligence Collective).  We focused on the early days of an expat assignment as many of our clients from the northern hemisphere are in the early stages of transition.  We held two webinars discussing the topics below. Members can access these webinars which have been uploaded to the Resource Library.

Often one of the greatest challenges of a new move is the sense of isolation, and missing the support of friends and family from ‘back home’. What can we learn to make the process easier?

In this saved webinar you will learn;

  • Why virtual friends are not enough
  • Some cultural considerations in making friends
  • How to develop the right thinking patterns to support you
  • Why it's a numbers game and how to play it

Webinar:  Love ‘em and Leave ‘Em

Are you about to leave? Or will you be one of those waving loved ones off?  Dreading those goodbyes?  Tempted to skip the farewell parties because you are just too busy?  If so, this saved webinar is for you.

On this webinar we discussed;

  • How to say goodbye well,
  • How to build positive memories,
  • Acknowledging the sadness and
  • Managing the overwhelming to do list.

It was a real combination of effective emotional adaptation processes with practical task management.

This months webinar will look at Ramadan -learn more here.
